Good to hear the response - its a critical issue for the sector, although not always appreciated.

One of the related areas we are looking at very closely is the accessibility of social networking sites - wed be very interested to hear from users with both positive and negative experiences - there is a survey at our website and a myspace campaign at http://groups.myspace.com/Accessible

Look forward to hearing more

Hi David,
Thanks for the comments, I did a workshop this week about websites for Voluntary Organisations and the accessibility part received (thankfully!) the most interest. I've listed lots of your resources on my wiki for VCO's at http://www.nptech-popokatea.wikispaces.com

Nice article and useful information for all - Thought id flag up a few developmnets here at AbilityNet that build upon what Laura has to say. The ICT Hub CD is going to be made available via bittorrent initially - watch out website for news as to when that is available - its also worth mentioning that My Web MY way that we created alongside the BBC addresses issues in Linux and Mac OS as well as windows.

We have also created a beginners guide to web accessibility at our e-learning site www.abilitynettraining.org and finally there is a new DVD out that we have created with SOCITM - "A World Denied" addresses many of the issues regarding accessible design and can be found at our main website www.abilitynet.org.uk and trailers for it are both on the website and on our youtube channel

All the best
