Very interesting post! Thanks for all the information on the Scripting Enabled Conference. We (Aspiration) recently held an event for nonprofit software developers to come together and one of our participants, Arun Mehta is working on open source software development for children with disabilities (http://educatorslog.in/grow/tip/archive/dr_arun_mehta_skid_open_source_software_innovation_to_help_children_with_disabilities). I think that it's always fascinating (and important) to see the perspectives on technology that are outside of your immediate sphere of influence.

Hi Laura, just read your write up of SE and can't believe that I didn't meet you there. I've quite often found myself on your blog and really enjoyed it. Oh well hopefully our paths will cross next time!
